Vice Provost for Enrollment Management - Purdue University

Purdue University invites applications and nominations for the vice provost for enrollment management position. The vice provost is the chief enrollment and admissions officer at Purdue University providing leadership and coordination for a comprehensive enrollment management strategy that is consistent with the goals, mission, and resources of the University. The vice provost oversees Enrollment Management (EM) Communications, EM Analysis and Reporting, Office of Admissions, Office of the Registrar, and the Division of Financial Aid and collaborates closely with the directors of the Bursar, International Students and Scholars, Student Systems, Student Success offices. The vice provost reports to the provost and collaborates closely with the president, treasurer, and academic deans to share enrollment projections and to determine short and long term targets for both tuition revenue and headcounts. The vice provost for enrollment management is responsible for an operating budget of $12.8 million, financial aid awarding of over $700 million, and over 200 permanent seasonal and student staff.

Founded in 1869, Purdue is Indiana's land-grant university enrolling approximately 30,000 undergraduate and 10,400 graduate and professional students. Qualifications

A Master’s degree is required; doctoral degree preferred. At least ten years of progressively responsible management experience directly related to enrollment management and experience in analyzing and organizing information to produce data-driven decisions is required. Commitment to and demonstrated success in recruiting and enrolling an academically strong and diverse student population is also required. The ideal candidate will have experience with change management as related to continuously improving business processes and have experience working at a large, complex university. The ideal candidate will be forward thinking and able to anticipate and effectively respond to all matters that influence enrollment. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong data and technology skills, integrity, ability to motivate staff and to foster collaboration across diverse groups of constituents are desired. A high degree of understanding of the complex facets of enrollment, including recruitment, holistic admission, strategic awarding of financial aid and merit based scholarships, student and family communication strategies, and course and academic planning will also be factors considered in the selection of the vice provost for enrollment management.
